This privacy policy sets out how Dominican Community Center NYC Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”, "DCCNYCInc") uses and protects any information that you give DCCNYCInc. when you use this website or contact us for donations or any solicitations that utilizes email, the helpline or social media. DCCNYCInc is a registered 501c3 non profit organization, with the mail address of 175 W 107 Street, New York, New York, 10025 and with the contact email address of dominicancommunitycenternyc@gmail.com, and, for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), is the data controller.
DCCNYCInc. is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This policy sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data or usage information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, in connection with your use of this website (the “Website”). Please read this policy carefully so that you understand your rights in relation to your personal data, and how we will collect, use and process your personal data. What we collect
You provide information by contacting us or donating to us via our Website, via email, or by phone. Depending on how you provide your information, we will collect some or all of the following information when you contact us or attend one of our events:

• exact interest in organization
• reason for donating;

• relevant banking info thru our secure donation link;
• contact details;
• brief summary of why you have called.
We will also process sensitive personal data (such as data concerning your banking information, inquiry to our classes, citizenship status, other sensitive information provided) about you in the course of our legitimate activities.

Where you donate via the TD Bank donation link, we may receive the following information about you:

As it is in our legitimate interests to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, we use your personal data:
• for security purposes (so that we can: verify the identity of the donor/client, safeguard our employees; and ensure the safety of the nonprofit;

Security
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet or email is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted through the Website or over email; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data against loss, theft and unauthorized use, access or modification. We are backed by TD Bank via our donation link to minimize any unintentional damage to you or to the organization. 
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.
Sharing and storing your personal data
The personal data provided when you contact us is stored by Google Drive in the United States and other servers located globally.
We will also share your personal data in emergencies, where we will share your personal data with the emergency services, to the extent necessary to protect your vital interests.

REFUND POLICY

​Donation Refund Policy

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. Donations are normally nonrefundable but if you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card. Automated Recurring Donation Cancellation Ongoing support is important to enabling projects to continue their work, so we encourage donors to continue to contribute to projects over time. But if you must cancel your recurring donation, please notify us immediately.

How Do We Protect Your Information? Information Security. We utilize encryption/security software to safeguard the confidentiality of personal information we collect from unauthorized access or disclosure and accidental loss, alteration or destruction. Evaluation of Information Protection Practices. Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with corporate policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information. Employee Access, Training and Expectations. Our corporate values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of customer information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.

How Do We Secure Information Transmissions? When you send confidential personal credit card information to us on our Web site, a secure server software which we have licensed encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. The information is scrambled en route and decoded once it reaches our Web site. Other email that you may send to us may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For that reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information such as Social Security or account numbers to us through an unsecured email
